সবার প্রতি অনুরোধ, কোনভাবেই এই লেখাটির সাথে দেওয়া দুটি sample letter থেকে কোন কিছু কপি করবেন না। আমি প্রয়োজনে আরও কয়েকটি sample letter এই লেখার সাথে সংযুক্ত করব। তবুও সবার প্রতি অনুরোধ, কেও কপি করবেন না। কষ্ট করে হলেও সময় নিয়েই নিজের একটি SoP তৈরী করুন। শুভকামনা রইল।

জার্মানীতে অনেক ভার্সিটি মাষ্টার্স লেভেলে আবেদনপত্রের সাথে সিভি, মোটিভেশান লেটার, রিকমেন্ডেশান লেটার পাঠাতে বলে। এই মোটিভেশান লেটার খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভুমিকা পালন করে আপনার সিলেক্টেড হওয়ার বেপারে। তবে দু:খজনক হলেও সত্য যে, এইসব লেটারের বেশীরভাগই সিলেকশান কমিটিকে সন্তুষ্ট করতে ব্যর্থ হয়।
আমি এই মোটিভেশান লেটার নিয়ে কিছু লিখার চেষ্টা করব। এবং আমার লেখাকে অবশ্যই কেও রেফারেন্স হিসেবে নিবেন না, সেই জন্য বিনীত অনুরোধ রইল। আমার এই লেখাটি শুধুই আমার ব্যক্তিগত অভিজ্ঞতা ও ইন্টারনেট থেকে নেওয়া তথ্য থেকে লিখা। তবে সবাইকে সাহায্য করার ইচ্ছা থেকেই লিখছি।
মোটিভেশান লেটার কি?
মোটিভেশান লেটার এবং SoP [Statement of Purpose] সম্ভবত একই জিনিষ। আমি অন্তত কোন পার্থক্য পাইনি বা জানিনা। এক এক দেশে এক এক ভার্সিটিতে একে একেক নাম দিয়ে থাকে এই ডকুমেন্টের। সহজ কথায়, আপনার এই ভার্সিটিতে (যে ভার্সিটিতে আপনি আবেদন পাঠাচ্ছেন) এবং এই সাবজেক্টে (যে সাবজেক্টে আপনি আবেদন করছেন) পড়ার ইচ্ছা কেন হল তা সুন্দর সাবলীল মানসম্মত ইংরেজীতে সম্পূর্ণভাবে নিজের চিন্তাধারার এবং একেবারেই অন্য কোন লেখার গঠন/ভাব/বাক্যকে সরাসরি অনুকরণ না করে লেখা একটি বাস্তব রচনা বা গল্পকেই মোটিভেশান লেটার বলা যেতে পারে।
কিভাবে মোটিভেশান লেটারকে মূল্যায়ন করা হয়? কে আপনার মোটিভেশান লেটার পড়বে?
প্রতিটি সিলেকশান কমিটির আলাদা আলাদা নিজস্ব ধারা আছে, এবং তারা নিজেরাই ঠিক করে কি ধরনের মোটিভেশান লেটার তারা উপযুক্ত হিসেবে ধরে নিবে। তাই বলা খুব কঠিন যে আপনার মোটিভেশান লেটারটি আসলেই সাকসেসফুল হবে কিনা। এটি ভার্সিটি, ডিপার্টমেন্ট, সিলেকশান কমিটি এবং সর্বোপরি ব্যক্তি'র উপর নির্ভর করে।
পিএইচডি এর ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত প্রফেসর বা প্রফেসরের স্টাফ পারসোনেলরাই মোটিভেশান লেটার পড়ে থাকেন। মাষ্টার্সের জন্য জার্মানীতে আলাদা ভর্তি কমিটি থাকে। এবং উনারাই এগুলো পড়ে থাকেন।
মোটিভেশান লেটারের কোন সুনির্দিষ্ট গঠন (structure) আছে কি??
আমার জানামতে সুনির্দিষ্ট কোন আকার নেই। তবে অবশ্যই গুছানো এবং ধারাবাহিক হতে হবে লেখাগুলো। আমার ক্ষেত্রে আমি IELTS এর প্যারাগ্রাফ রাইটিং এর কনেসপ্ট এপ্লাই করেছিলাম। প্রতিটি প্যারাগ্রাফের প্রথম বাক্যটি খুবই ভাইটাল। এই বাক্যটি দিয়েই আপনাকে এই লেখার পাঠককে বাধ্য করতে হবে পুরো প্যারাগ্রাফটি পড়ার জন্য। সুতরা্ং চেষ্টা করবেন যাতে প্রথম বাক্যে এমন কিছু হিন্টস দিয়ে রাখতে যা পুরা প্যারাগ্রাফের সারমর্মকে ধারণ করে এর পাঠককে সম্পুর্ণ প্যারাগ্রাফটি পড়ার জন্য আকর্ষণ করে।
কি কি তথ্য দেওয়া প্রয়োজন?
আপনার জীবনের ঘটে যাওয়া তথ্যই দিবেন এখানে। মিথ্যা/চাপা/অস্বাভাবিক কিছু লেখা থেকে একদম বিরত থাকুন। কঠিন ভাষাগত গঠন, GRE থেকে অর্জিত ভোকাবুলারী বিদ্যা ইত্যাদি জাহির করা হতে বিরত থাকুন। অন্য কোন মোটিভেশান লেটারের থিম কপি করা বা সরাসরি বাক্যচয়ন করা থেকে ১০০% বিরত থাকুন। আপনার সবচেয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় যা যা দরকার সেগুলো হল ভাষাগত দক্ষতা, সাহিত্যিক মনোভাব, সরল অথচ আকর্ষনীয় শব্দচয়ন, সিম্পল+কম্প্লেক্স+কম্পাউন্ড বাক্যসমূহের অত্যন্ত সাংগঠনিক ও সাবলীল ও উপযুক্তভাবে ব্যবহার ইত্যাদি।
সাধারণভাবে আপনি নিচের পয়েন্টগুলো নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে পারেন। তবে তা সম্পূর্ণই আপনার স্বাধীনতা। সাধারণত উচ্চশিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে এই পয়েন্টগুলোই সিলেক্টরগণ দেখতে চান।
১. আপনার উচ্চশিক্ষার কারণ। অর্থাৎ, আপনি উচ্চশিক্ষায় আসার আগের শিক্ষাজীবন যে খুবই সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করেছেন এবং আপনি যে যথেষ্ট যোগ্য একজন আবেদনকারী সেটি আপনার লেখায় অত্যন্ত সততা ও বিশ্বাসযোগ্যভাবে বুঝিয়ে দিতে হবে।
২. আপনার উচ্চশিক্ষার বিষয়বস্তু। কেন ওই বিষয়ে আপনি আগ্রহী তা ব্যাখ্যা করতে হবে। এই বিষয় নিয়ে আপনি কিভাবে জানলেন, কোন কাজ করার সুযোগ হয়েছে কিনা, এই বিষয়ে আপনার ভবিষ্যৎ কি, কিভাবে এটি আপনি মানুষের উপকারে কাজে লাগাবেন, আপনার জীবনের লক্ষ্যের সাথে এর সম্পর্ক কি ইত্যাদি আপনি লিখতে পারেন এখানে।
৩. উচ্চশিক্ষা গ্রহণ করে আপনি অত:পর কি করবেন? আপনি আপনার কেরিয়ার কিভাবে গঠন করতে চান এবং এই উচ্চশিক্ষা কিভাবে আপনার কেরিয়ারে প্রভাব ফেলবে তা ব্যাখ্যা করুন সাবলীলভাবে।
৪. আপনি কেন নিজেকে উপযুক্ত বলে মনে করেন উক্ত বিষয়ে উচ্চশিক্ষা অর্জনের জন্য?
৫. আপনার ব্যক্তিগত সাফল্য, কর্ম অভিজ্ঞতা, খেলাধুলা ও সাংস্কৃতিক অবদান ইত্যাদি।
সহজ কথায়:
অন্যান্য সব তথ্যের উপস্থাপনের সাথে সাথে বিশেষ করে আপনার ক্যারিয়ারের উদ্দেশ্য/গোল নিয়ে লিখুন, লিখুন কিভাবে আপনার উচ্চশিক্ষা এবং আপনি যে কোর্সে আবেদন করছেন সেটি আপানার ক্যারিয়ার গোলকে প্রভাবিত করবে। কোর্সের সাথে সংশ্লিষ্ট এমন কোন প্রফেশনাল কাজ বা রিসার্চের বা ভলান্টিয়ার বা অন্যকোনভাবে কাজ করার অভিজ্ঞতা থাকলে সেগুলো উল্লেখ করতে পারেন। আপনার ব্যক্তিগত স্কিলগুলো সুন্দর করে বর্ণনা করুন, উক্ত কোর্সে পড়ার জন্য আপনার এই স্কিলগুলো আপনাকে কিভাবে মোটিভেট করছে সেকথা সুন্দর করে লিখুন। কোন একটি গ্রুপে বা টিমে কাজ করার অভিজ্ঞতা থাকলে তাও লিখুন। লিডারশিপ, গ্রুপ লিডার, ম্যানেজারশিপ ইত্যাদি বিষেয়ে কাজ করার অভিজ্ঞতা থাকলে সেগুলো উল্লেখ করতে পারেন, তবে তা যেন অবশ্যই অপ্রাসঙ্গিক না হয় এবং ফ্ল্যাটারী (তেল দেওয়া) না হয়। ।
এসব কিছুই যদি না থাকে তাহলে আপনার ব্যাচেলর/মাস্টার্সের কয়েকটি স্পেশাল কোর্সের কথা বলতে পারেন যেগুলো আপনার আবেদনকারী কোর্সের সাথে খুবই রিলেটেড।

একটু অফটপিক:
জার্মানিতে উচ্চশিক্ষার উদ্দেশ্য যাদের আছে তাদের জন্য ব্যক্তিগত কিছু স্কিল, কিছু টেকনিক্যাল বিষয়ে ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা, বা পড়ানোর অভিজ্ঞতা, বা কোন স্ট্যান্ডার্ড সার্টিফিকেট (মাইক্রোসফট, অটোডেস্ক ইত্যাদি) অবশ্যই থাকলে খুবই ভাল হয়। এগুলোকে HiWi, ইন্টার্নশিপ এবং পরবতীর্তে প্রফেশনাল কাজে খুবই মূল্যায়ন করা হয়। তাই যারা উচ্চশিক্ষার চিন্তা করছেন তারা এখনই এই বিষয়ে একটু মনযোগী হন, নিজেকে কোন একটি বা দুটি বিষয়ে প্রকৃতভাবেই পারদর্শী করে তুলুন। উদাহরণস্বরূপ, যারা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এ পড়তে ইচ্ছুক তারা

# SAP
# LabView, Matlab, sensorics and interfacing, PLC

# CATIA/AutoCAD/ProE/UG, FEM ইত্যাদি বিষয়গুলোতে বিশেষভাবে পড়ালেখা করতে পারেন।

আমার জানামতে যদিও মোটিভেশান লেটারের নির্দিষ্ট কোন গাঠনিক আকার (format) নেই তবুও আমি একটি সাধারণ গঠন এখানে বর্ণনা করছি যেটি আমি আমার ক্ষেত্রে এপ্লাই করেছি।
হেডিং:
প্রথমেই আনার লেখার একটি হেডিং দিবেন। যেমন মোটিভেশান লেটার বা Statement of Purpose ইত্যাদি।
প্রথম প্যারাগ্রাফ:
আপনি আপনার নাম, বাংলাদেশে আপনার ভার্সিটির নাম এবং সবচেয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্যগুলোর একটু করে বর্ণনা করবেন। প্রথম প্যারাগ্রাফটি যেন অবশ্যই সম্পূণ লেখার মধ্যে সবচেয়ে সংক্ষিপ্ততম প্যারাগ্রাফ হয় সেদিকে খেয়াল রাখবেন।
দ্বিতীয় প্যারাগ্রাফ:
এখানে আপনি (প্রথম এবং দ্বিতীয় বাক্যে) লিখতে পারেন আপনার পছন্দনীয় পড়ালেখার ফিল্ড (Fields of Interest[FoI]) দিয়ে শুরু করতে পারেন। আমার ক্ষেত্রে আমি এটিকে [FoI] ২য় প্যারাগ্রাফেই রাখার কারণ হল, প্রফেসর যাতে খুব তারাতারিই জানতে পারেন আমার সম্পকে, আমার পছন্দ সর্ম্পকে, আমাকে দিয়ে উনার কাজ হবে কিনা ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি। এই প্যারাগ্রাফটি পড়েই হয়ত উনি আর বাকিগুলো পড়বেন না। তাই এই প্যারাগ্রাফটি খুবই সাবধানে লিখতে হবে। সেজন্য আপনাকে প্রথম প্যারাগ্রাফটি (যেখানে আপনি আপনার নাম, বাংলাদেশে আপনার ভার্সিটির নাম ইত্যাদি তথ্য দিয়েছেন ) যত কম লেখায় লিখতে পারবেন তত ভালো, যাতে প্রফেসর আপনার ২য় প্যারাগ্রাফে খুব ধ্রুত চলে আসতে পারেন। এবং অবশ্যই এই প্যারাগ্রাফটি লিখার আগে আপনি যে কোর্স করবেন তাতে কি কি পড়ানো হয়, এবং কোন কোন প্রফেসর পড়ান, উনাদের প্রোফাইল, আপনার FoI এর সাথে এই কোর্সের সম্পর্ক ইত্যাদি ভাল চিন্তা করে তারপর লেখা শুরু করবেন।
আমার ক্ষেতেও এই প্যারাগ্রাফটি ছিল এরকম: আমার FoI, তারপর কেন আমি এই ফিল্ডে আগ্রহী? কিভাবে এবং কবে থেকে আগ্রহ হলাম। কিভাবে আমি ধীরে ধীরে এই ফিল্ডে অগ্রসর হলাম। এবং গভীরে যেতে যেতে কিভাবে আমি বিভিন্ন সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হলাম। এবং এগুলোর সমাধান পেলাম না দেখেই আমি উচ্চ শিক্ষার জন্য আগ্রহী হলাম যাতে ভবিষ্যতে এই বিষয়ে আরও বিশদ পড়ালেখা করে সমস্যাগুলোর সমাধান সম্পর্কে ভালভাবে জানতে পারি...ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি।
তৃতীয় ও পরবর্তী প্যারাগ্রাফ:
এই গেল মোটামুটি কনক্রিট কথাবার্তা। এখন কিছু সাহিত্যিক লিখা লিখতে হবে, বাস্তবতার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে। এবং এই প্যারাগ্রাফটিই হবে আপনার মোটিভেশান লেটারের মূল থিম। আমার ক্ষেত্রে থিমটি ছিল: আমি প্রচন্ডভাবে আমার দেশের মানুষের উন্নতির জন্য আমার জ্ঞানকে কাজে লাগাতে উদ্বুদ্ধ। এবং আমার দেশে উচ্চ প্রযুক্তি এবং এই বিষয়ে [আমার FoI] জ্ঞানী লোকের খুবই অভাব। তাই এর পরিবর্তনটি আমাকে দিয়েই শুরু করতে হবে। এবং এটির জন্যই আমি উক্ত বিষয়ে উচ্চ শিক্ষার্থে প্রচন্ড আগ্রহী।
এরপর, আপনি লিখবেন আপনি কেন এই দেশে পড়তে আগ্রহী। এক্ষেত্রে আপনার পছ্ন্দনীয় যেকোন কিছুই লিখতে পারেন। তবে তা যেন খুবই জেনারেল হয়। যেমন, সকলেই মোটামুটি জানে এরকম। যেমন, আমার ক্ষেত্রে আমি লিখেছিলাম [জাপানের একটি ভার্সিটিতে এপ্লাই করার সময়] আমি রোবোটিক্সে পড়তে চাই এবং সবাই জানে এই দেশ এই বিষয়ে সবচেয়ে অগ্রগামী, তাই আমারও স্বপ্ন এই দেশে পড়তে আসা কারন তাহলেই আমি আমার FoI সম্পর্কে সকল আধুনিক টেকনোলজীগুলো জানতে পারব অতি সহজেই।
এরপর, যে শহরে পড়তে যাবেন সেই শহরের কিছু গুনগান গাইবেন রিয়াটিলস্টিকভাবে। ইন্টারনেটে ভালভাবে খুজে নিবেন শহর সম্পর্কে। বিভিন্ন সোর্স থেকে প্রাপ্ত কমন তথ্যগুলোই আপনার লেখায় কাজে লাগানোর চেষ্টা করবেন। এবং কেন আপনার পছন্দ হয় এ্ই শহরটি সেটিও উল্লেখ করর চেষ্টা করবেন।
তারপর আপনি যে ভার্সিটিতে পড়তে যাবেন সেই ভার্সিটি নিয়ে কিছু লিখবেন। আগের প্যারাগ্রাফের মতই একই রকম অ্যানালাইসিস করবেন ভার্সিটি সম্পকে, ফ্যাকাল্টি, ডিপার্টমেন্ট, ইনস্টিটিউট রিসার্চ, প্রফেসর, এমএস ও এইডি ছাত্রের সংখ্যা ইত্যাদি সম্পর্কে। তারপর সুন্দর করে কিছু লিখার চেষ্টা করবেন।
কনক্লুসান:
তারপরও যদি আপনার অন্য কোন বিষয়ে লিখার থাকে তাহলে সেগুলো আলাদা প্যারাগ্রাফ আকারে উল্লেখ করতে পারেন। আর, তা না থাকলে এখানেই কনক্লুসান প্যারাগ্রাফটি লিখে আপনার লেখা সমাপ্ত করতে পারেন।
পরিশিষ্ট: IELTS এর প্যারাগ্রাফ রাইটিং এর কনেসপ্ট শুধু প্রতিটি প্যারাগ্রাফের প্রথম বাক্যটি লেখার ক্ষেত্রেই এপ্লাই করলে হবে না, প্রতিটি প্যারাগ্রাফই যেন আগেরটির সাথে খুবই সামন্জস্য হয় সেদিকেও খেয়াল রাখবেন। পুরো মোটিভেশান লেটার পড়ার পর পাঠক যেন তৃপ্ত হন এবং আর কোন কিছু যাতে উনার জানার প্রয়োজন না হয় সেগুলোও একজন মনোবিদের মতো পাঠককের মনকে রিডিং করে ও ভেবে তারপর লিখতে বসতে হবে।
বিশেষ লক্ষনীয়: উপরে উল্লিখিত নির্দেশনায় শুধুমাত্র একটি ধারাবাহিক পদ্ধতিকে প্রাধান্য দেওয়া হয়েছে। যারা মোটিভেশান লেটার লিখতে চান তারা শুধুমাত্র উপরে উল্লিখিত এই বিষয়গুলোই যে লিখবেন তা নয় আরও অনের তথ্য দিতে পারেন। অথবা, আরও কম তথ্যও দিতে পারেন। সম্পূর্ণ অন্য ধাচেঁর একটি মোটিভেশান লেটারও লিখতে পারেন।
কি কি করবেন, কি কি করবেন না - মোটিভেশান লেটার লেখার সময়:
১. কখনই কোন দেশকে, জাতি, ধর্ম বা অন্যকিছুকে দোষারোপ করবেন না। এটি সম্পূর্ণ নিষিদ্ধ।
২. 'তেল' দেওয়া থেকে বিরত থাকুন। সত্য এবং সততার সহিত ভাল ইংরেজীতে লেখা যে কোন মোটিভেশান লেটার অবশ্যই সাকসেসফুল হবে বলে আমার বিশ্বাস। তাই মিথ্যা বা আংশিক সত্য বা অতিরঞ্জিত কিছু লেখা হতে একদম বিরত থাকুন। কারণ, ভর্তির সময় আপানার মোটিভেশান লেটার নিয়ে আপনার সাথে আলোচনা করা হতে পারে। এবং তখন যে কোন অসংগতি খুব সহজেই সিলেক্টরগণ বুঝে ফেলতে পারে [মনে রাখবেন উনারা এই বিষয়ে বিশেষজ্ঞ এবং তাদেরকে এই কাজের জন্যই উক্ত পোষ্টে বেতন দিয়ে রাখা হয়েছে!!]।
৩. যে কোন ধরনের Excuse দেখানো থেকে বিরত থাকুন। উদাহরণস্বরূপ,
বাংলাদেশ গরীব দেশ তাই উচ্চশিক্ষার ভাল ব্যবস্থা নেই এখানে। তাই আমি জার্মানীর মত আধুনিক ও প্রযুক্তিসম্পুর্ণ দেশে পড়ালেখা করতে চাই...
এইভাবে excuse দেখানো মোটেও শোভনীয় নয়। এই লেখাটিকেই আপনি হয়ত লিখতে পারেন এভাবে,
বাংলাদেশ একটি উন্নয়নশীল দেশ, এবং খুবই দ্রুত এই দেশের অর্থনৈতিক অবস্থা পরিবর্তন হচ্ছে। এর পিছনে মূল কারন হচ্ছে এদেশের যুব সমাজ উচ্চশিক্ষাকে গুরুত্বসহকারে গ্রহণ করছে এবং উচ্চশিক্ষা গ্রহণ করে নিজের দেশকে সেবা করে দেশ ও দেশের মানুষের মঙ্গলার্থে নিজের জীবনকে উৎসর্গ করছে। আমার উচ্চশিক্ষা গ্রহণ করার প্রধান অনুপ্রেরণাই হচ্ছে এটি, এবং এই ক্ষেত্রে আমি মনে করি জার্মানীর উন্নত প্রযুক্তি ও যুগোপযুগী শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাই আমাকে সঠিকভাবে শিক্ষিত করে আমার জীবনের উদ্দেশ্য পালনে যথার্থভাবে সাহায্য করতে পারবে।
আপনি আপনার লেখা থেকে এরূপ বা ভিন্নরূপ সকল ধরনের excuse গুলোকে পরিবর্তন করে positively ব্যখ্যা করতে পারেন।
৪. কোন short hand বা acronyms ব্যবহার করবেন না। যেমন, USA, UK, FBI, NASA ইত্যাদি। যদি ব্যবহার করতেই হয় তাহলে প্রথমবার যখন শব্দটি লিখবেন তখন সম্পূর্ণ নামে লিখবেন এবং ব্রাকেটে acronym টি লিখবেন। উক্তলেখায় পরবর্তীতে যদি আবার এটি ব্যবহার করতে হয় তখন acronym টি ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। তবে 'acronym' ব্যবহার অনেকের কাছে 'দৃষ্টিকটু' লাগতে পারে।
৫. Word Limit থাকলে তা অতিক্রম করবেন না। তবে আমার মনে হয় ১০/১৫ টি শব্দ অতিক্রম করলে 'হয়ত' কোন সমস্যা হবে না!
৬. আপনার CV থেকে কোন কিছু আপনার মোটিভেশার লেটারে repeat করবেন না। যে তথ্যগুলি আসলেই আপনরা মোটিভেশান লেটারে অতি প্রয়োজন, শুধুমাত্র সেগুলোই পুনরাবৃত্তি করতে পারেন।
৭. একদিন বা রাত (রাতারাতি) এর ভিতরেই মোটিভেশান লেটার লেখা শেষ করে ফেলবেন না। সময় নিন, অন্যের সাহায্য নিন।

A very simple Motivation Letter
I am Shaon Sutradhar, male, 25 years old, completed a four year bachelor degree with major in Mechanical Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Chittagong-4349, Bangladesh. The medium of instruction of study and examination was English and I obtained a CGPA of 3.18 out of 4.00 and placed 30th among 110 students.
I am highly interested in the field of Modelling and Simulation, Mechatronics, Automation, Control and Robotics. During my undergraduate study period I was interested in control related subjects and took several courses related on control which gave me an idea in this field. Then to increase my knowledge more about control, I did several projects. My final year project was “Repairing and Commissioning of Heat Treatment Plant”, in which I made a digital controller for a 3-phase heater. I also completed some more projects like “Designing and Digitalization of Charpy Impact Tester”, “Design and Fabrication of a Line Tracking Robot”, “Temperature and Humidity control in a Textile Industry”, “Automatic Power Factor Correction for Inductive Load” and etc. For doing these projects I was needed to study on different controllers (PID, Fuzzy), C programming, sensors and transducers, motor controlling, numerical analysis, AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Matlab and Simulink etc. After that, I felt interests on the application of simulation in designing. And, hence, I gathered some knowledge in some software like FluidSIM, Abaqus, Proteus etc. Therefore, all the circumstances above influenced me to involve myself in a higher study in Automation. I, therefore, have found Master's program in Automation and IT suitable for me according to my field of interests.
A country can be more developed when it has more industries. Bangladesh has a bright future, specially, in the field of Textile and Agriculture. But, these textile industries are running with old designed machineries and equipment. The agricultural machines and other machineries are also backdated. Moreover, these machines are operated manually rather than automatically. Hence, labour cost is high and frequent maintenance is needed. Therefore, a revolution can be started immediately with the application of modern design technologies and automation to the machines. This designing can be effective with the application of simulation as because simulation reduces time and costing, and ensures the effectiveness before the design is fetched into the real field. And the automation of machines can be possible by the application Automation technology. But, still now, due to lack of knowledge in modern technologies and lack of researches and proper involved personnel, there is no approach to improve this current situation in the textile and agriculture fields. I, therefore, feel strong intention to improve this situation in my country and highly motivated to do higher study in Automation and IT.
Germany is the most well-known and established country in the latest technologies. And hence my first choice for higher study is Germany as I think I can gather knowledge of modern technologies and research activities from here. Also easy life style and less tuition fees have attracted me to pursue study in Germany.
Being the fourth largest city in Germany and having the headquarters of seven leading international automobile companies, the Cologne city is therefore would be a great place to achieve experience in different technologies which attracts me to study here. Also this master’s program is my field of interest and hence I choose this university.
My main aim is to contribute in the development of my country and people through my knowledge. I think highly standard study quality in Germany will help me to reach my goal. Very attractive current research and being one of the largest institutions in Germany also claim that I shall be benefited if I get the opportunity to study in this university.
এখন SoP লেখার সুবিধার জন্য একটি অন্য ধরনের আর্টিক্যাল নিয়ে একটু লিখছি। SoP লেখায় নিজের জীবনের উদ্দেশ্য বা ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনার একটি প্রধান প্রভাব থাকে। আমি এখন একজন MBA ছাত্রীর লেখা 'আমি নিজেকে ১০ বছর পর কোথায় দেখতে চাই'-বিষয়ক লেখাটি উল্লেখ করছি যা হয়ত SoP লেখায় আপনাদেরকে কিছুটা সাহায্য করতে পারে।
যারা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার নন, তাদের হয়ত নিচের এই লেখাটি বেশ ভালো লাগবে। বিশেষ করে মেয়েদের একটু ভালো লাগবে, কারন লেখাটি একজন মেয়ে কিভাবে নিজেকে ভবিষ্যতে কোথায় দেখতে চান সেই সম্পর্কে লেখা হয়েছে। লেখাটি হয়ত একটু complex এবং flattery (MBA পড়ুয়ার লেখা তো তাই!) মনে হতে পারে , কিন্তু অনেকের কাছে তা standard লাগতেও পারে। এই লেখায় কোন ভুলত্রুটি থাকলে দয়াকরে উল্লেখ করবেন।

“Where I want to see myself after 10 years”/ My future plan.
I am XXX, mm years old, female, graduated in Mechanical Engineering, currently working as Design Engineer at AAA. Besides my profession, I am also pursuing MBA.
Life is a full of ambitions, from the childhood to the time of death. This is very natural and legitimate in life that it changes over time and new ambitions grows up, one after one. Human life is the most complex among the other living entities. Our needs and wanting can’t be satisfied absolutely; greed and ambitions can never see an end. I am, indeed, not so different with this definition of life. It is, therefore, toilsome to build the perfect scenario of my life’s situation just after 10 years from now but still I am going to explain my ambition hereafter.
During my school life, there was only a deep contemplation of my life- to become an engineer. Obviously, firstly, I would say, this would have not been possible to become what I am right now if there would have no ambition of life at that time. I have grown up in a nuclear family and had been taught by examples by my family on how to achieve goals and how to work and endeavour to fulfil the goals of life even in under pressure and uncertain conditions. It is then obvious, the contribution of my family, especially from my mother, on me to become a successful person, up to the current stage of my life, is undoubted and undeniable. Secondly, certainly the next powerful selfless and unconditional contribution that I have received in my life is from my friends and well wishers; and, finally, from my country and country people. So, I am deeply indebted to those people, and it is a debt I shall never be able to repay. But I can at least show some gratitude by dedicating, up to the utmost possibility of myself, my life for my family, friends and well wishers as well as to my beloved country and the people of my country.
To become a successful woman in her professional life, especially in Bangladesh, is not an easy task as every woman has to face maternity period in her life once or several times and has to involve herself in her own family with a greater responsibility for her children and husband. And, this responsibility of a woman in her life cannot be disclaimed undoubtedly. After 10 years, I want to see myself as an excellent wife, a proud mother, a noteworthy contributor in my professional and as well as in social life and to become an exemplar to the other women. So, it is been a great challenge to overcome it and to reach at the goal point, but I am willingly and confidently to take this challenge.
After completing Mechanical Engineering degree from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, I joined to YYY as a Design Engineer and I have been working here for the last one year where my task is solely technical and of course in my field of interest. I design and calculate for split and central type AC for different loads which are to be used for the big shopping malls to small apartments. But I am still required, beside my strong technical knowledge and skill, to acquire managerial knowledge and competence to work in the promoted positions. So I started pursuing MBA as I think the MBA is a great ‘tool’ for the professionals, especially for the Mechanical Engineers, to go up to my career ladder. Leadership, management, communication, ethics, economics, finance and more, will be the keys to transform myself to a very successful and worthy manager. The experience in my work field will come as the knowledge to break through the problems in new situations and critical circumstances. Furthermore, my future wish is to establish my own company and grow it with my knowledge that I will be acquiring as a technical employee as well as a manager here in my current company for a long time. Several of my mates during my undergraduate study are now working in highly technical as well as managerial posts; and to be become a successful in the professional life, I shall welcome their intellectual conception and contribution, which they already did several times during my study period in the university, to make me more successful and worthy in my life.
I believe becoming educated is very essential and very important for every woman if she really wants to see her children successful and to make her family happy. Proper management between professional life and family life and good communication, effortless compromise and sacrificing can make this goal achievable. Happiness in the personal life for a woman is the most desired and required, and I believe, seeing my beloved mother, who is the greatest teacher in my life, being kind, trustworthy, responsible, adorable, lovable and compassionate, I shall also be able to make my family happy and peaceful. And I know, for every mother, the happy faces of her children are only the self-satisfaction in her life; and in this way, by becoming a significant contributor in my personal life, I really want to make my mother happy and successful in her life, and for this I am ready to make any kind of sacrifice also.
As previously I’ve said, I am deeply indebted to my country. I think, if I can become successful in my life, the greatest contribution will be from my country. And I can say, becoming honest and responsible to my country and country people, I can repay an infinitesimal fraction of my indebt.
